'Allegheny' Class Production Model

Kohs H-8
UP
A closer look at the firebox area reveals the very recognizable air injectors associated with the 'late' version H-8's. The early version locomotives were retrofitted with a system of similar purpose once they were in-service, other photos will illustrate the difference. The staybolt pattern in correct as are the sizes. With each version there is a different rivet pattern used along the mud ring and that detail is properly captured on our H-8's. Of special note is the front firebox corner, which has the correct radius and compound curved shape. This is an area that is always shortcut by other builders. Take not of the lubrication lines on the trailing truck and even the rail washer plumbing is included. The journal box lids are correct for each version and they are operational.
